The Porcelain Ceramic Dekton®
The high-quality material Dekton® by Cosentino is an extremely resistant sheet material for use in the kitchen and bathroom as well as floor tiling or wall cladding for both indoor and outdoor use – wherever high expectations of robustness and aesthetics are required.
This surface material is a mixture of raw materials combined under extreme pressure using the technology of sinterized particles (TSP), which is the same process used to create glass, ceramic or quartz surfaces. TSP technology is a process that performs an accelerated version of metamorphic changes that natural stones undergo when subjected to high pressure and high temperatures over several thousand years.
As a result, Dekton is ultra-compacted and virtually pore-free. This makes the material not only hygienic and easy to clean, but also highly resistant to many different stress factors: Dekton is used frequently in construction because it is as abrasion-resistant as granite and, therefore, ideally suited as flooring in areas that require high durability. Even after a long period of time, the surface does not wear out and does not have to be replaced. In addition, Dekton can be used as a facade cladding that is UV-resistant and colourfast, as well as fire- and frost-resistant.
Dekton is also reliable for use in interior decoration, such as wall panelling or floor tiles. Kitchen worktops and washbasins are especially popular choices for this material because Dekton is absolutely resistant to rapid temperature changes and can withstand high temperatures without showing burning spots or cracking. It is durable, scratch-resistant, stain-resistant and easy to clean with everyday household cleaning agents.
